Women & Wine: A Night of Heart, Connection, and Community

There are evenings that remind us exactly why Women & Wine exists, and our February gathering at Dahl Consulting/Doherty Staffing Solutions was one of those nights.

As women (and allies) walked through the doors dressed in red, there was an undeniable energy in the room. Conversations started quickly, hugs were shared, and new introductions were made. It was a beautiful reminder that when people intentionally come together, meaningful connections happen.

At Women & Wine, we believe that life is about more than professional success. It is about nurturing the many parts of who we are — our relationships, health, purpose, community, personal growth, faith, and joy. Each gathering is an opportunity to learn from one another, support one another, and create space where people feel seen, valued, and welcomed exactly as they are.

This event brought those values to life in a powerful way.

Learning That Can Save Lives

We were honored to welcome Grace Botzo from the American Heart Association, who shared important information about heart health and CPR awareness.

Her message was both educational and empowering. Many people are surprised to learn that heart disease remains one of the leading health concerns for women. Through Grace's presentation, we learned how CPR can make a life-saving difference and how being prepared can help us protect the people we love.

The conversation reminded us that caring for ourselves and our communities begins with awareness, education, and action.

A Community That Gives Back

One of the things I love most about this community is our commitment to making a difference beyond the walls of our events.

A special thank you goes to Dahl Consulting/Doherty Staffing Solutions and the Doherty Family Foundation for their incredible generosity. Their $24,000 donation to the American Heart Association demonstrates what is possible when organizations invest in causes that improve lives and strengthen communities.

The impact of that gift will extend far beyond our gathering and will help support critical research, education, and advocacy efforts that save lives every day.

We are grateful to partner with organizations that lead with purpose and understand the importance of giving back.

The Power of Allies

One of the highlights of the evening was seeing allies join us in support of women's health and community impact.

Women & Wine has always been built on connection, and connection grows stronger when people come together to listen, learn, and support one another. To the allies who attended, thank you for showing up, engaging in the conversation, and helping us create an environment where everyone feels welcome.

Your presence matters, and we are grateful to have you as part of this community.

Moving Forward Together

The momentum from the evening continued when Betsy Miller invited our community to participate in the American Heart Association Heart Walk.

It felt like the perfect next step. Learning together is powerful, but taking action together creates lasting impact. We are excited for opportunities to continue supporting causes that align with our values while strengthening the relationships that make this community so special.

What Women & Wine Is Really About

For those who are new to Women & Wine, our gatherings are about much more than networking.

They are about showing up for one another.

They are about authentic conversations that remind us we are not alone.

They are about celebrating wins, navigating challenges, learning from different perspectives, and creating meaningful relationships that extend far beyond a single event.

Most importantly, they are about building a community where every person feels seen, heard, and valued.

As I looked around the room that evening, I saw women encouraging one another, new friendships forming, familiar faces reconnecting, and a shared commitment to making a positive impact.

That is the magic of Women & Wine.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, to our hosts at Dahl Consulting/Doherty Staffing Solutions, to Grace Botzo and the American Heart Association, and to every member of our community who continues to show up with kindness, curiosity, and heart.

Together, we are creating something special.

When women show up, we rise.
